My newest paintings continue to address the intensity and abundance of every day life.  They express a sense of vitality that belies their humble subject matter.  My hope is that the energy and vibrancy of these patterned backgrounds and lush colors resonate against the stability or quietness at the core of each painting.  The items become more than functional objects, pleasing to look at or good to eat.  They speak of order, energy, moments of peace, and joy.
